Dropib is a personal visual ceramic glaze recipe book and firing log built exclusively for pottery enthusiasts. We understand that your custom glaze formulas, firing test notes, and studio photos are the result of hours of experimentation and hard work in your studio. Protecting your privacy and keeping your personal creative work secure is one of our core priorities.

This policy outlines how we handle information when you use Dropib, and reflects our commitment to keeping your personal data under your control.

Information We Collect

Our app is built to keep your personal creative work on your device, and we designed our infrastructure to avoid collecting your private data wherever possible. We separate collected information into two categories:

User-Generated Creative Content

All content you create in Dropib — including custom glaze formulas with ingredient percentages, cone ranges, and batch size notes, test firing photos (from mixed glaze through finished fired results), kiln session logs with ramp and temperature data, personal ratings, and your custom notes — stays exclusively on your device. We do not automatically upload, store, access, or share any of this creative content to our servers. It remains completely in your control.

Non-Identifying Usage & Crash Data

To help us improve app performance and fix bugs that interrupt your studio work, we may collect anonymous, non-personal usage data. This data never includes your creative content or any identifiable personal information. It only includes general information like app version, device type, and what features caused a crash if the app stops working. This data cannot be linked back to you as an individual.

Information You Voluntarily Provide to Us

If you reach out to us for support, to give feedback on new features, or to report an issue, you will voluntarily provide us with your contact information (including your email address) and any details you choose to share. We only use this information to respond to your inquiry.

How We Use Your Information

We only use the limited information we collect for the following purposes:

To fix technical issues, bugs, and improve the overall performance and stability of Dropib for all pottery enthusiasts
To respond to your support requests, questions, and feedback
To develop new features that align with what our community of potters needs for glaze testing and kiln logging

We never sell, rent, or share any personal information you provide to us with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

Third Party Services

Dropib only uses limited third party services to core app functionality, all of which follow strict privacy standards:

Anonymous crash reporting: We use third party tools to collect the non-identifying crash data mentioned earlier, to help us fix app issues faster
App distribution: App stores (where you download Dropib) have their own privacy policies for handling app downloads and updates

We do not integrate third party advertising, tracking, or analytics tools that collect your personal browsing or usage data for unrelated purposes.

Data Security

Since all of your creative content (glaze recipes, test photos, kiln logs) is stored only on your device, the security of that content is protected by your device's built-in security features. We recommend that you keep your device updated and use your device's security features (like passcode or biometric login) to protect your data.

We take appropriate security measures to protect any personal contact information you voluntarily provide to us from unauthorized access or disclosure.

Children's Privacy

Dropib is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have accidentally received information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our app features or practices. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes.
